2012 JANUARY -- ELLIE'S 12TH BIRTHDAY

Shelley's parents came up from Georgia for a week, so we celebrated both Ellie's (Jan.) and Ava's (March) birthdays early with just our family and Tony & Becky the Sunday they were here. The girls each got the Kindles they were wanting, since they both love to read!

This week, they celebrated Ellie's birthday with the theme of "VOLLEYBALL" since she is on the Middle School volleyball team and loves it! Shelley baked her a volleyball cake. HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY, ELLIE!!!

2011 CHRISTMAS WEEK IN THE MOUNTAINS

Brent's family went to North Carolina to Johanna's family for the week between Christmas and New Year's. We went the day after Christmas with Brad's family up to the mountains for three days. They went skiing at Bretton Woods two days and had a great time. Ellie tried out snow boarding this year and the rest skied. Kent tried out the Zip Line there and went 3 times on that. We went swimming at the hotel in the evenings. The last day it rained and took away all the beautiful snow, so we just relaxed at the hotel and played checkers, etc. Drove by our old condo, Forest Cottage #4, which we owned with Roger and rented out for several years right on the Bretton Woods ski slope. It looked just the same as years ago. Lots of fun times with Roger's family and the kids there. Had to also check out the beautiful Mt. Washington Hotel. Both that one and the Mt. View Grand are gorgeous old hotels that have been restored. It was a fun relaxing time with Brad's family!

2011 DECEMBER -- BRENT'S FAMILY PICTURES

2011 NOVEMBER -- BOSTON WITH BRENT'S, GILLIS' AND KILGAS'

Brad & Shelley's family were in Georgia the week of Thanksgiving, so we went with Brent & Johanna's family to Boston for a couple of days over Thanksgiving since we'd had our big feast the Saturday before. Stayed in a hotel right near the Aquarium and met up with Carl & Ester Gills and Jen & Greg Kilgas' family for the day. Went to the Aquarium in the morning and then on to Fanieul Hall shopping center for lunch and the afternoon. Met up with Mike & Janice Klinetobe's family there for the rest of the day. An interesting street entertainer drew a large crowd, with Carl helping out the fella. After a bit of shopping, we went to the I-Max by the Aquarium and saw the film on sharks. Very interesting. Then we all ate supper at Durgin Park. That is always an "experience", and the waitress picked on Greg and got him all dressed up like a waitress and had him wait on a couple of tables. It was hilarious and Greg was a good sport. We had a great day together! Enjoyed a relaxing few days in Boston. Kids enjoyed swimming at the hotel.
