THE GREAT OUTDOORS

It has been such a beautiful September to enjoy the outdoors. The kids love to be outside helping Grampa, riding in the tractor, or watching him mow. Sunday afternoons are great for a walk in the woods or on the power line.

Look what we found! Is that a bear paw print???

Some of the pretty flowers at Monson Place -- an old little town years ago with just cellar holes left and the area preserved to enjoy.

Paxton's 4th birthday

We went to Paxton's birthday party Friday night. They set up tables and chairs and had the party in their garage. It worked out great! It was a gorgeous night, and the kids played outside a lot too.

"I'm 4 years old!"

Blowing out the candles.

"I can't believe it! A new bike!!!"

Checking out the new swing set. Even Grampa and Gramma went down the slide! WHEE!!!
:)

The kids played outside, and Ellie was thrilled to find a toad. "Isn't he so cute, Gramma?!!"

Luella brought Aunty Kaye up from Baltimore to visit Mom for a few days, and they joined in the party fun.

Enjoying fall in New Hampshire

Last Tuesday we took the day off and meandered up through the mountains to see the foliage. It wasn't at its peak and just beginning to be colorful most places, but around Benton, NH we found this colorful picturesque spot! It was so peaceful and pretty and a gorgeous day for weather, so clear and sunny.

It was so colorful around the lake!
A couple was sitting out on the rock enjoying the beauty and quiet!

Beginning to be colorful.
