We flew to Florida /Sunday PM and visited Dana & Marilyn White in Bradenton for a few days. They own Nana & Grampa's old trailor, and it was fun to visit there again and reminisce! They have spruced it up and it looks great and the same big tree out front where we always had pictures taken. We 4 went to St. Petersburg Monday and met up with Glenn & Shirley Spunaugle for lunch and then took Glenn on to Miami to meet up with Warren & Scott Wainwright. Glenn, Warren, & Scott were flying to Haiti the next day and taking a bunch of supplies over and to help out from the earthquake damage .
We had dinner with them before heading back the 4 hour drive to Bradenton. Tuesday we had breakfast together with Gordon & Nancy Gates at D & M's, then went to Gilbert & Patricia Haine's home for a visit, on to the beach for a quick walk, and back to D & M's for spaghetti supper with Gilbert, Patricia, Gordon & Nancy again to celebrate Gordon's b'day. Went to Gordon & Nancy's for breakfast on Wednesday and then packed up to fly to Georgia in the PM to spend the rest of the week with Tony & Becky Gary. Enjoyed our time with them and seeing her Mom and his folks, doing a bit of shopping and running around, and going to Mark & Lauren's (Shelley's brother) for Will's 7th birthday. He had a "snake & reptile" b'day, so it was pretty exciting!!! I don't like snakes but don't freak out with them, so I bravely let 2 wrap around my neck and helped hold the giant boa!!! Quite amazed myself! We flew home Saturday PM. Thanks Dana & Marilyn and Tony & Becky for your hospitality!!! Great to be with you all again! Our hearts were all in Haiti much of the time and with those folks struggling to pick up the pieces from the terrible devastating earthquake. Appreciated sharing in it together....
